In & Around
Boat Harbour Beach is a tiny hillside hamlet, about a 10 minute drive from Wynyard. It’s a stone’s throw from Rocky Cape National Park and if you follow the coast on foot around to the west, you’ll find the beginning of the walk trail through to Sisters Beach and beyond (take note of the signage, it can be challenging for some, with rock- hopping on the way). There is lots to explore, or you can just relax!
Within the bay
Many like to fish off the rocks and explore the aquatic life alongside the point, snorkelling or on kayak. Dolphins are regular visitors and whales are becoming a more common sight in the latter half of the year. It can be like a swimming pool some days and a surfer’s paradise the next. Just relax and take it in from the eagle’s view of your own beach nest!

You’ll find a bevy of goods and services in Wynyard, including wonderful café’s, monthly foreshore markets and all your food and wine supplies, should you have to leave the beach!
